wow, two poems in one day, unusual for me. This one is very personal, but poets do not get to be personal, its all for the universal. If you havent already DO check out my earlier poem, as i think its a good one 🙂
Snapshots Across The Decades (1-7)
I know you have to explore
In this tumultuous time
The safer spaces, the ordinary people
Sometimes surface is all you need
Layers can be over-rated when the edge seems too close
(I think)
You will fly, and learn, and create
Or maybe not
It isn’t for me to say really
Some things are just not meant to be
Some paths are not meant to be traveled by
Every soul
Sometimes the simpler existence
Can have a beauty I can never know
I cannot say I am hopeful we will be friends
The building seems really flimsy right now,
BUT
here is to understanding, and the death of judgments
Each to their own, we give assistance when we can
And it is enough
It has to be enough
