All the dogs have been walked
All the parties imploded
Drunks uncomfortably slink-sleeping
Towards midday hangovers
The cats have not caught the rabbits
And the rabbits have found a hole, a home for a while
The long distance driver is eating a slow fatty breakfast
A taste of heaven prepared by mischievous devils
The mist sighs and grumbles out of bed
And the owls ambient set is done
Traffic lights take on the guise of fairy lights
And you can hear a car starting up many miles away
Youtube has been tranquilized
And the ravers hypnotized
The moon is naked and large, shy but revealing
Time for me to walk
One foot in front of the other
As the words fall from my mind
The ones that I catch, will be in this poem, the others will bounce and dissolve
And then coffee solemn and true
And then all this
Going out
To all of you.
